Mindfulness and how to practice it daily
With the constant demands of our busy lives we are often on the go and unable to be mindful of our thoughts and emotions.
It’s easy to get sidetracked and disconnect from what truly matters to us. Mindfulness and attunement to our emotions can help develop greater self-awareness and healthier life balance.
If you are emotionally drained, detached and unhappy, try blocking 5-10 minutes out of your day to reflect on your feelings and ask yourself the following questions.
Mindfulness with Yourself
1. What am I feeling right now?
3. What is making me feel this way?
4. What is the one thing that I need the most today?
5. What can I do today to achieve it?
Mindfulness with your Child
1. How has my child been feeling lately?
2. What brings my child joy and happiness these days?
3. What are some things that trouble my child these days?
4. What is the one thing that I can do today to show that I’m here for him/her?
Mindfulness with your Partner
1.How have I been feeling in my relationship lately?
2. What do I need the most from my partner and how can I let him/her know that?
3. What does my partner need from me and how can I offer it?
4. What is the one thing that we can do together today that both of us could enjoy?
