benefits
Individuals seek counseling for many different reasons and at different times in their lives. Counseling offers a safe space to be true to yourself and to explore and work through your emotions and challenges. During therapy you can explore unhelpful thoughts and behavioral patterns and substitute it with more positive ways to cope with your hardships. These positive changes will allow you to create a better life balance and facilitate transition to becoming the best version of yourself.
Challenges
Seeking counseling can be anxiety provoking. There may be some uncertainty about trusting another person with your deepest emotions. You may feel vulnerable by having to explore old memories and face some uncomfortable feelings. These challenges are normal and we offer the most sensitive approach to work through it at your own pace. At the beginning of therapy we provide a free consultation to answer your questions and to determine if we will be a good fit for each other in our counseling relationship.

how can INDIVIDUal counseling help?
Individual Counseling allows us to feel safe, understood and acceptant during the most troubled times of our lives. Knowing that we are not alone while receiving professional help can provide great comfort and facilitate our recovery.
How often will I see my counselor?
Frequency and duration of counseling is individual and based on the intensity of symptoms and presenting concerns. In most cases clients come for therapy weekly or fortnightly. As the therapy progresses and symptoms subside the frequency of sessions might be gradually reduced until the clients no longer have the need for counseling.
